viewing an ultrasound
Today Kendra had her second ultrasound. It took an incredibly long time as the ultrasound technician looked at every conceivable part of our unborn child. It was truly amazing to see the little hands and feet, the spine, the pumping heart, the dark spots of the kidneys, the skeletal look of the face, and the male genetalia. Yes, we found out that Javan's soon-to-be little sibling is a boy. The image of his boyhood was unmistakable. As I was sitting in that room, I was thinking that God has really had the monopoly on this whole seeing the unborn child in the womb thing. Up until the 1960's, only He had the pleasure of seeing a tiny baby move inside of its mother's womb. I just imagine it puts a smile on His face as He sees the smiles on ours as we view the miracle of His handiwork.
